After a long periode of training, Stew and I felt the drive to escape from the plastic and went to Chironico. It was amazing to hold on to the rock again, however as soon as the sun was gone it went pretty cold (too cold for our cooker..died and left us with cold pasta). I was really happy with my ascent of "les doigts verts 7c+" and here are a few pics...
My 2nd training phase, involving a lot of metal, sweat and heavy loads is nearly over and I am well looking forward to start bouldering and going outside again.
This year I spent my first time Chrismas and New Year away from the mountains on an island. Fortunatley it had a lot off snow (very unusual), which made it much more Chrismas like for me. It was cool to experence a total different chrismas senario to the one I know, with differnt hapits and foods. The good thing is that in England they celabrate Chrismas on the 25th so i had 2 Chrismas days :-).
All the hard work from the Austrian team last year should be paid off and to get some recovery our team met up again in Obergurgl for a bit of skiing, wellness and good food.
Between the competitions I had a lot of climbing days outside. I was especially pleased with the sent of Titti Twister 7c+ in Niederthai (2nd go), Oetztal Szene 8a in Piburg (2nd go) and Ares 8a+ in Nassereith.
